STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2024-2

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is currently accepting applications from Pakistani/AJ&K nationals for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (2024-25), a scholarship initiative launched by the Hungarian Government. This program provides opportunities for Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s, and PhD studies.​

Eligibility Criteria for Hungarian Scholarship for Pakistani Citizens

Are you a citizen of Pakistan or AJ&K aspiring to pursue higher education in Hungary? Here’s a breakdown of the eligibility criteria you need to meet:

  1. Undergraduate Programs:
    • Applicants enrolled in the last year of their existing study programs/degrees and result-awaiting candidates can apply.
    • For Bachelor’s programs (e.g., DVM, DPharm, Medicine/Dentistry), completion of HSSC/Intermediate degree or equivalent before August 01, 2024, is required.
    • Failure to submit the final degree and transcript by August 01, 2024, on the official portal will result in scholarship cancellation.
  2. Postgraduate Programs:
    • For Master’s programs, a 16-year Bachelors/equivalent degree completion before August 01, 2024, is mandatory.
    • PhD program applicants must have completed a 17/18 years Masters/MS/MPhil degree or equivalent before August 01, 2024.
    • Submission of final degree and transcript is crucial on the official portal by August 01, 2024, to avoid scholarship cancellation.
  3. General Requirements:
    • No upper age limit.
    • Minimum age limit for undergraduate programs is 18 years (born on or before August 31, 2006).
    • Complete filling of all fields in both the Hungary application form and HEC application form is mandatory.
    • Certificates/Transcripts/Degrees must be attested by IBCC and HEC.
  4. Additional Conditions:
    • IELTS/TOEFL scores as required by Hungarian universities.
    • Submission of a medical certificate of satisfactory health condition issued not earlier than November 15, 2023.
    • Applicants must commit to a bond ensuring they will not change their discipline and will return to Pakistan after completing their degree.
  5. Testing Requirements:
    • Submission of HAT or USAT test scores with a minimum score of 50 out of 100 is mandatory.
    • Applicants who took the test after January 01, 2022, can upload results on the HEC portal.
    • Those yet to take the test can register at https://etc.hec.gov.pk/.
  6. Non-Eligibility (Ineligibility):
    • Dual citizenship holders are not eligible.
    • Applications providing incomplete or misrepresented information may lead to scholarship cancellation, even post-award.

Note: Applicants must ensure accreditation of professional degrees (Medical, Engineering, Nursing, etc.) from respective councils (e.g., PMC, PEC, PNC) before applying.
