Scholarship Administration
The British Council administers the Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Scheme in Pakistan, coordinating with selected scholars and universities either directly or through designated university focal persons.
Scholarship Opportunities
The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme offers support for:
- Undergraduate Studies: A four-year bachelor’s degree in any HEC-recognized university across Pakistan.
- Master’s Studies: A two-year master’s or MPhil degree in any HEC-recognized university across Pakistan.
Scholarship Benefits
Awardees under the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls Scheme will receive:
- Coverage of tuition fees for courses in eligible fields.
- Accommodation support in university hostels (where applicable).
- Travel expenses to and from home to university twice a year for students residing in on-campus hostels.
Eligible Subject Areas
The scholarship supports a four-year bachelor’s degree in the following fields at HEC-recognized public universities in Pakistan:
- Education
- Sustainable Energy
- Food Security and Agriculture
- Health Sciences
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) – only for Master’s degrees
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is exclusively for female applicants. To qualify, candidates must:
- Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan.
- Be enrolled in a two-year master’s degree or a four-year bachelor’s degree in one of the listed subject areas.
- Hold a confirmed admission offer from an HEC-recognized university in Pakistan
- Candidate avail any other scholarship are not eligible.
